Pensioners in Coimbatore have been given time till October to submit life certificate - Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner

In Coimbatore city, when the deadline for pensioners to submit life certificates expired in July, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Pratap extended the deadline to submit Life Certificate to the end Of October.


Coimbatore: Pensioners have been getting life certificates since July last year. Earlier, it was announced that the pension/family pension would be withheld if they failed to submit the life certificate by September 30.

According to a statement issued by Corporation Commissioner Prathap, 2,549 pensioners and family pensioners are receiving pension in Coimbatore Corporation. So far, only 78% of pensioners have issued life certificates.

Therefore, pensioners/family pensioners who have not submitted life certificate in Coimbatore Corporation will have to submit life certificate by October 2022.

The pension of pensioners/family pensioners who do not do so will be stopped from November 2022.
