Applications invited for renovation of churches in Tamil Nadu

The Tamil Nadu government is implementing a scheme under which assistance will be provided for repairing churches in Tamil Nadu.

The following are the rules for applying for the funds under the scheme:

·         The church should be functioning for more than 10 years in its own building. The land should be registered with the registration department.

·         Funds should not have been obtained from foreign countries for repairing the church. A certificate should be provided in this regard.

·         The assistance will be provided to a church only after five years from the last time it has received such assistance.

The application and the certificate can be downloaded from [email protected] The application with a certificate should be sent to the Coimbatore collectorate on or before 31.01.2017. An inspection will be conducted at the church the funds will provided in two instalments in the church’s account.
