City Corporation extends last date to October 31 for remitting additional security deposit

CCM Corporation has extended the last date for remitting additional security deposit for drinking water connections to October 31.

The City Corporation has revised the deposit rates for drinking water connections for all the domestic and commercial connections and fixed different rates and tariffs in its 100 wards.

While the additional deposit amount for the original 60 wards, before expansion of the civic body limits could take place, would have to remit Rs.4, 000 for domestic and Rs.7, 000 for commercial connections respectively.

The new deposit rates applies to all consumers, who have been extended the drinking water connection by the civic body before October 1, 2013.

The Civic body has expedited tax and revenue collections to augment its annual revenue and carrying out a drive to collect additional deposit for drinking water connections, which has been vociferioiusly opposed by the opposition parties and the general public.
