Special Train announced in place of cancelled InterCity Express

Intercity express to Chennai is cancelled and a new special train has been announced for today


Coimbatore May 6: According to a statement from Southern Railway "As already announced, Train No.12680 Coimbatore Chennai Central Intercity SF Express is cancelled on 06.05.2018 and in its place, a Special Train is being operated (with the rake of T.No.12674 Cheran Express consisting of 1 AC 1st Class/AC 2tier Combo Coach,  1 AC 2 Tier, 5 AC 3 Tier and 3 Tier Non AC Sleeper, 11 Non AC 3 tier Sleeper and 3 general second class Coaches, ie. Sleeper rake in place of day time chair car rake) from Coimbatore to Chennai on 06.05.2018, with the timings and stoppings of T.No.12680 Coimbatore Chennai Inter City Express on 06.05.2018. 

As this is being operated as a special train at the same fare that of T.No.12680, passengers can also buy the general ticket and board the train and the actual difference in fare will be collected by TTE as extra fare by suitable conversion. No reservations."
