Theni: With incessant rains playing havoc in Kerala and many parts of TamilNadu, Vaigai dam in Theni has reached 66 ft against its total reservoir capacity of 71 ft.

Following this, the district administration has issued a first level flood alert today. Around 4872 cusecs of water is flowing into the dam and once the water level in the dam reaches 69 feet, a final flood alert warning will be issued, say sources.
