Coimbatore: Students of a private nursing college created awareness about organ donation at the Coimbatore airport.
A large number of students are studying at Ganga Hospital Nursing College in Vattamalaipalayam area of Coimbatore. More than 25 first-year students of this college, awareness was created through a play on organ donation and skin organ donation at the Coimbatore airport premises.
The play was well received by airport passengers.
The students who participated in the event said, "We have been performing meme plays in various parts of Coimbatore city. The public should wear a helmet while riding a two-wheeler. We need to donate skin and wear a seat belt while driving a car. They appealed not to drive the vehicle after consuming alcohol.
At the end of the programme, Coimbatore Airport Director Senthilvalavan congratulated the college students.
