Commissioner M.Prathap inspects Central Zone progress in Coimbatore Corporation - Urges swift completion

Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Prathap inspected the ongoing works in the central zone areas of the corporation. At the time, he directed the officials to finish the work being carried out in the wards as soon at the earliest and put them to use


Coimbatore:Prathap, the Corporation Commissioner, observed the ongoing activities in Coimbatore Central Zone.

Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Prathap saw sanitation personnel segregating and collecting biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste at Bharathi Nagar 1st Street, Ward No. 65, Central Zone, Coimbatore.



He instructed the sanitation workers to create awareness among the public in the area to classify the garbage into biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste.



Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner enquired about dengue mosquito control works at Bharathi Nagar 1st Street under ward no.65, Central Zone, Coimbatore Corporation. He inspected the mosquito control records and gave instructions to them.



Corporation Commissioner visited Valliammai Road under Ward No. 63, Coimbatore Central Zone and inspected it, he directed the concerned officer to renovate the corporation toilet in the area.



Construction of storm water drains and culverts for a distance of 1,680 metres at Jeeva Nagar, Kavundampalayam under Ward No.34 of Coimbatore Corporation West Zone at an estimated cost of Rs.5.20 crore. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Prathap personally visited the site where the 850-metre-long tarroad is to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 1.8 crore and directed the engineer to complete the work expeditiously.

Assistant Executive Engineer Hemalatha, Assistant Engineer Jeevaraj, Health Inspector Chandrasekhar and corporation officials were present.
