Multi-religious Chants Marks 24th Dhyanalinga Consecration Anniversary

The 24th Consecration Anniversary of Dhyanalinga was celebrated today at Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore, with a beautiful display of multi-religious and devotional chants. Dhyanalinga was consecrated by Sadhguru in 1999, following an intense process of prana pratishtha, designed to raise and lock the energies of all seven chakras so that they will not dissipate over time.

Coimbatore: The 24th Consecration Anniversary of Dhyanalinga was observed today at Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore with harmonious contributions of multi-religious and devotional chants.

On this day in 1999, Sadhguru consecrated Dhyanalinga after three years of intensive prana pratishtha - a pure energy process in which the energies of all seven chakras are raised to the peak and locked to prevent dissipation over time.

The chanting began at 6 a.m., with Isha Brahmacharis and Brahmcharinis delivering Aum Namah Shivaya chants and Adi Shankaracharya's Nirvana Shatakam. Throughout the day, multi-religious chants such as Gurubani, Sufi, Native American, Muslim, and Christian chants reverberated throughout the Dhyanalinga dome.

Deekshithars from Chidambaram Temple celebrated the occasion by presenting Rudram Chamakam to the Dhyanalinga. Isha Samskriti students also participated in offering Thevaram, Vachanas, and Sanskrit chants to the Dhyanalinga at various times of the day. The celebrations concluded with Nada Aradhana, a unique sound offering made to the Dhyanalinga every day at 11.45 AM and 5.45 PM.

Dhyanalinga is a profound contemplative place that requires no ceremony, prayer, or worship and does not subscribe to any one belief or faith. Dhyanalinga, a doorway to enlightenment and spiritual liberation, provides a spiritual seeker with the opportunity to do spiritual practices in complete intimacy with a live Guru, an opportunity that was previously only available to a select few.
