Coimbatore: Thanthai Periyar Dravida Kazhagam general secretary K Ramakrishnan has said that he will stage a black flag protest against the governor's visit to Coimbatore.
Speaking to reporters at the Thanthai Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam office in Gandhipuram, K Ramakrishnan said,
Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi has not only put on hold the anti-NEET bills and anti-online gambling bills, which are unanimously decided by the Government of Tamil Nadu in the Tamil Nadu Assembly, but has also started speaking openly and against the people of Tamil Nadu that he will never allow all these things.
He does not give permission to any bills passed in the Assembly for the benefit of the people of Tamil Nadu. At present, the Governor has explicitly directed the universities that there is no need for the universities to accept the education scheme which may have been laid down by the State Government in the Education Policy of the Government of Tamil Nadu.
The Governor is pushing the Tamil Nadu government elected by the Tamil people to a point where it is not possible to even formulate the Tamil Nadu Education Policy. Similarly, the Governor is deceiving the people of Tamil Nadu and Tamil Nadu when the Government of Tamil Nadu cannot take a decision on who should be appointed as the Chairman of the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission. The Governor is an obstacle in the development of Tamil Nadu.
"If the Governor visits bharathiar university in Coimbatore on The 24th for the convocation ceremony, we will stage a black flag protest at Lally Road.
The Governor is working with a plan to ban the development achieved by the Dravidian movements in Tamil Nadu as they cannot tolerate it. The Governor is acting like a spokesperson of the BJP and a state president.
He is sitting in the Raj Bhavan, which was built on people's money, to fulfil the bjp's plans and objectives in Tamil Nadu and to grow the BJP here. The NEET bill is currently kept at the Rashtrapati Bhavan for the president's assent.
Only the President can give an opinion on it and the Governor of Tamil Nadu cannot talk about it. If so, the Governor can give his views on the BJP platform. This is what he said.
