Traffic Disrupted on Ramanathapuram-Nanjundapuram Road Due to Fallen Tree

Traffic was significantly disrupted on the Ramanathapuram-Nanjundapuram road in Coimbatore, following a tree falling due to heavy rains last night.


Coimbatore: The Coimbatore district witnessed heavy rainfall from this evening, leading to various incidents of disruption. One significant incident occurred last night (May 22), where continuous rainfall caused a large tamarind tree to uproot and fall on Ramanathapuram-Nanjundapuram road.



This incident led to a severe traffic jam in the area, making it difficult for commuters to travel through this route. Motorists faced significant challenges as the fallen tree blocked major parts of the roadway, causing delays and congestion. Efforts to clear the road and restore normal traffic flow are currently underway.
