Enhanced Quality Initiatives Discussed at Coimbatore City Education Council Meeting

The Coimbatore City Corporation Education Council, chaired by Malathi, convened to discuss new initiatives and upgrades for city schools, focusing on the installation of water purification systems and monitoring cameras.


Coimbatore: A significant meeting led by Malathi, the Chairman of the Coimbatore City Corporation Education Council, took place today at the city hall to deliberate on enhancing the quality and infrastructure of municipal schools. The meeting saw the attendance of municipal engineers, regional authorities, council members, and educational officers.



Key resolutions included the immediate implementation of water purification systems in all schools, a mandate from a previous session, and the new proposal to install surveillance cameras across all educational institutions to ensure student safety.



Additionally, discussions were held on providing incentives to students who scored full marks in the recent 10th and 12th state examinations, distribution of learning materials at the beginning of the academic year, upgrades to sanitation facilities in schools, and speeding up construction work.

Educational council members highlighted the need for urgent action on refurbishing playgrounds, fixing damaged boundary walls, and installing smart classrooms in secondary and higher secondary schools to facilitate better learning environments.
