Will establish Lokayukta in six months: Anbumani

PMK's Chief Ministerial candidate Anbumani Ramadoss said that his party would establish Lokayukta in the State within six months of coming to power.

Speaking at the 'Ungal Oor Ungal Anbumani' in Tirupur on Tuesday, Anbumani said that the property acquired by politicians and bureaucrats through corruption will be seized.

Stating that the power shortage has led to the closure of many small, medium and micro enterprises in Tamil Nadu, he pointed out that the Athikadavu-Avinashi underground water project, Pandiyaru- Punnambuzha water project and Nallaru-Anaimalalyaru water project would also be completed for the benefit of the people of Tirupur.

Briefing media persons later, Anbumani said that his party would contest alone and was not waiting for any alliance. He also informed that the election manifesto and the candidate list of the party would be released in a week. "We will not give any freebies and we will provide free education and healthcare, instead," he said.

Claiming that he was touring various districts to understand the troubles faced by the people, Anbumani said that the tour would help the party identify solutions, which would form the election manifesto.
