Mayor Ka.Ranganayaki Ramachandran and Commissioner Katta Ravi Teja IAS led a public grievance meeting at Coimbatore Corporation headquarters where 60 petitions from citizens were received covering various civic issues. Officials were instructed to take immediate action on all submissions.
Coimbatore: A public grievance meeting held today (11.08.2026) at the Coimbatore Corporation headquarters received 60 petitions from citizens addressing various civic concerns. The meeting was chaired by Mayor Ka.Ranganayaki Ramachandran and presided over by Corporation Commissioner Katta Ravi Teja IAS.
The Mayor and Commissioner received 60 petitions covering diverse issues including birth and death certificates, road facilities, street lights, drinking water supply, underground drainage, professional tax, property tax, new water connections, and name changes. Officials concerned have been instructed to take immediate action on all these petitions.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Mayor Ra.Vetriselvan, Deputy Commissioners Tha.Kumaresan and Ra.Saraswathi, City Chief Engineer Vijayakumar, Health Officer Dr V.C.Subash Gandhi, and Town Planning Officer Thamodhiran.
Additionally, Assistant Commissioners Prakash (Administration), Maheshkanagaraj (Revenue), Narmadha (West), Dakshinamoorthy (East), Ganesan (Central), Executive Engineers, Assistant Executive Engineers, Zonal Health Officers, Engineers, Health Inspectors, and numerous other Corporation officials participated in the meeting.
The public grievance meeting is a regular practice of Coimbatore Corporation. Through this initiative, citizens' problems are brought directly to the attention of the Mayor and Commissioner, ensuring swift resolution of public concerns.
