Coimbatore Judicial Court awards life sentence to murderer

Coimbatore District Judicial Magistrate Court No:1, today awarded life sentence along with a fine of Rs. 10,000 to Arumugam, an accused involved in the murder of a couple in 2011. 

Palanisamy and Rajamani a couple from Mettupalayam were farmers. In 2011, they were murdered by Arumugam, who stole their jewels and cash thereafter. Since then, the case was conducted at the Coimbatore District Court. After the judge sentenced Arumugam, he was taken to the Coimbatore Central Prison.
