M. Yathishkumar (30) of Pelthangarai in Karnataka, who is a manager in a private bank here, died after he is said to have accidentally fallen into a check dam at Aliyar.
The Aliyar police said that the victim and his friends were sitting on the wall of the check dam, when he accidentally fell into it and drowned on Saturday evening.
His body was recovered and sent to Pollachi government hospital for post-mortem examination.
