Valparai couple died After Car and Bike Crash Near Sultanpet

Paldurai and Asha, a couple from Valparai, who were seriously injured when their car collided with a two-wheeler on the Palladam-Pollachi road, succumbed to their injuries.


Tirupur:A couple from Valparai were killed when their bike collided with a car near Sultanpet.

Paldurai (42) and Asha (40) hail from Valukkuparai near Valparai in Coimbatore district. The two were travelling on a two-wheeler on the Palladam-Pollachi road.

The passing automobile abruptly lost control and collided into their two-wheeler. The two of them who were expelled were fighting for their lives and had terrible injuries.

On seeing this, people around came to their aid and sent the couple to the government hospital in Palladam. They received first aid treatment there.

The two were later shifted to Coimbatore government hospital for further treatment.

Both husband and wife were admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) by the doctors. But there the treatment failed and Paldurai died tragically.

Asha's relatives rushed her to a private hospital in Coimbatore for further treatment. Asha died there without any treatment.

The Sultanpet police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
