Contractual employees and fire service personnel stung by hundreds of bees in Wellington Coonoor.


This morning three contractual workers Siva, Rajendran and Xavier were injured after being stung by hundreds of bees while they were at work in Wellington Cantonment Housing quarters, Coonoor.

Following the incident, fire service personnel were called for help. Unfortunately, the fire service personnel were also stung by the bees.



At last, the workers and the fire service personnel escaped from the bees by running away from the place. All the affected were taken for preliminary treatment at the Wellington Cantonment Hospital. They were later shifted to Coonoor government hospital for continued treatment.
