Make Ooty Beautiful (MOB) was founded by Shobana Chandrashekar. All projects and activities of this NGO are aimed at making the Queen of hills look beautiful.
This morning in order to spread the awareness towards this cause, the founder and members of this NGO hosted an awareness rally to sensitize the locals of this city and the tourists.
People from all walks of life from Ooty participated in this awareness march in order to show their support towards this cause. The rally was flagged off at Spencer’s Road and was called off at the District Collectorate. A memorandum addressed to the Collector Dr P Shankar was handed over to District Revenue Officer Bhaskarapandian.
As the season is about to begin, this rally was regarded as much-needed. As every year post the season, tons of trash especially plastics are dumped through out the hill station posing a serious disturbance to the ecology.
