In Udumalaipettai, Tirupur district, over 200 children dressed as Krishna and Radha celebrated the 6th annual Krishna Jayanthi festival organized by Vishva Hindu Parishad.
Tirupur: The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) in Udumalaipettai, Tirupur district, celebrated its 6th annual Krishna Jayanthi festival with great enthusiasm.
Over 200 children dressed as Krishna and Radha participated in the event held at Tejas Marriage Hall on Thali Road.
The children, adorned in colorful costumes, danced to devotional songs and Krishna-themed music, showcasing their talent and devotion.
The highlight of the celebration was the traditional "Uriyadi" event, where the young participants dressed as Krishna and Radha enthusiastically attempted to break the hanging pot.
The festival was attended by several prominent figures, including Vadhuganathan, the General Secretary of BJP's Tirupur South District, Balakuru from the Youth Wing, and Sakthivel, the founder of Hindu Samrajyam organization. VHP administrators from Udumalaipettai and more than 200 children also took part in the joyous celebration.
The event not only provided a platform for children to express their cultural heritage but also fostered a sense of community among the participants and attendees. The Krishna Jayanthi celebration in Udumalaipettai has become an annual tradition, growing in scale and participation each year.
