Celebrate a clean and green diwali and you could win an award from the CCMC

Are you celebrating a green diwali this year with your residential community? If you are you could be awarded for your efforts this year. The Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC) has announced a reward for the best clean diwali celebrations this year. This is a part of the CCMCs initiative to reduce the noise and air pollution in our city during this festive season. This initiative is being organized to encourage the public to celebrate the festival of lights without causing harm to flora, fauna and the environment. Additionally, the CCMC is also promoting the clean India movement through this initiative.

Apartment complexes and gated and communities who are celebrating a clean and green diwali can Whatsapp a small note of the celebrations along with images to CCMCs official number 81900-0200. The best entry from residential associations and gated communities will be awarded by the CCMC.

Those who are interested in participating in this initiative, must post green diwali celebration images with the hashtag #Gobacozhu. Participants can also tag their friends to accept this challenge.
