Ranjith, assisting his sister in the construction of their new home in Jyothiyampatti, suddenly experienced breathing difficulties. His condition worsened, prompting his sister's husband, Perumal, and friends to rush him to a private hospital in Udumalai. Financial constraints forced them to relocate Ranjith to Tarapuram Government Hospital.
The family contends that despite Ranjith being admitted to the intensive care unit, the hospital staff neglected his deteriorating condition, leading to his untimely demise. Relatives accused the hospital of lacking proper treatment, especially the absence of artificial oxygen breathing cylinders. They asserted that Ranjith might have survived if he had been provided with adequate medical care, including access to the necessary equipment.
According to the family, the hospital staff allegedly admitted their inability to access the oxygen cylinder storage room due to misplaced keys, leaving Ranjith without essential life-saving support. The relatives further claimed that doctors and nurses were engaged in casual conversations instead of attending to patients, highlighting a severe lack of professionalism.
