Once upon a time. the famous singer K.J.Yesudas visited Salem in order to do the Bhoomi Pooja for the Sastha Nagar Ayyappan Temple which was headed by the businessman Manoharan. It was on this occasion that he met M.Eswer, the budding musician and son of Manoharan and his wife Sumathi. This chance meeting was to become the foundation for a great association. Eswer bubbles with youthful energy while talking about this musical beginning which sounds like music to the ears, " I began singing from the age of 5 and was lucky to bring out my first album by the year 1991. I have written over 250 songs and composed the music for each one of them. My work became both powerful and popular, thanks to the rendition of my early composition " En Nenjil Pallikondan Sri Ranganayakan " by K.J.Yesudas Sir. "

Its amazing to learn that Eswer is a third generation businessman with an interesting musical career. He has composed an anthem for the BJP too! A long list of illustrious singers have rendered his compositions and they include K.J.Yesudas, S.P.balasubramaniam,Unnikrishnan,P.Susheela,Unni Menon, Karthik,Tippu,Srinivas, Manicka Vinayagam and many others. The list of his clients include popular music vending companies like Saregama,Magna Sound and Tarangini.
The greatest moment was when his composition " Enna Varam Kaetpaen Sabarishwara " rendered by K.J.Yesudas began to be played during the early hours of the morning at the Sabarimala Sri Ayyappa Temple. " I was thrilled and felt that this was the highest level in my life. I do not have the appropriate words that can describe the ecstasy the engulfed me at that blessed moment." stated an exuberant Eswer.
Eswer is a " Coimbatore Mapillai " and he he happily wedded to Kavitha. The couple are blessed with a brilliant son, V.S.Pranva. In fact there was a time when the President of Nanneri Kazhagam Iakoka Subramaniam had requested him to do a song for Coimbatore. Eswer's team is located at Chennai and the call sheets and management are vested with Dalapathy. Several eminent instrumentalists have been part of his success. The Veena Maestro Rajesh Vaidya has played for his compositions. Other instrumentalists of high calibre like Balesh who plays the Shenoy, Vasu who plays the Nadaswaram, Bala who plays the Mridangam have been in his orchestra. Many of them have been part of Ilayaraja's team. Eswer continues to be inspired by Ilayaraja and holds the Isai Gnani in high esteem.
Many of his compositions have been translated into Telugu,Kannada and Malayalam. Eswer is essentially a Tamil composer and is further candid to share a number of interesting tit bits about his background," I am not fully trained in Carnatic Music, yet I can approach it with effortless ease due to my interest and the grace of God. I have been lucky to work with great masters. I am just another normal person like anybody else. I get embarressed when people fall at my feet once they know that I have composed a number of popular devotional songs. Tamil Aruvi Manian is a quite well known to me. Very soon you may find me donning the musical mantle for a big movie."
Eswer has several on going projects and his new devotional audio visual is simply excellent. It has been shot in a number of exotic locales. He wants the current generation to be part of the musical journey along with him. Eswer signs off by giving some insight into his ideas," I propose to do an album on Shirdi Baba with interesting visuals. The other project will be " Brahma Kamalam " , an album which will consist of about 8 songs on different deities who will include Kanyakumari,Mahalakshmi among others. I will ensure that the best of musical talent will be part of this prestigious album. Brands and Companies are welcome to join me in my musical pursuits."
The gen next is sure to join Eswer in his musical wanderings.
