A Fun fest for kids and parents - Prakriya International School’s Diwali Carnival

The Saturday downpour was a no stop to the fun and gala time the crowd had at the Prakriya International School located within the city limits on Trichy Road.

This was the second successful year of the carnival held by the school, where food, fun and shopping options were aplenty for both the parents and the children.

The school kept its carnival ambience very affable and affordable.

The food stalls were an avenue to many home-bakers who established food joints and gourmets were on the look out to eat something different.

From mind games, to sporty activities conducted by sporty beans, it was a wonderful entertainment for all age groups.

While the child is engaged with fun activities there were stalls that gave mature talent a platform to showcase their works, from jewellery designs with other than gold metals to customised fabrics and clothing, from nail arts to kids make up. There was a stall for everyone’s interest that made this carnival a much awaited event for the next year too.

The Prakriya International School is a wing of Vivekalaya Group that has been established 25 years ago. The schools are run on the principle of “You are What You Seek”. The school believes that its prime resources are the teachers, the mentors, researchers and not the facilities at the school.

“Facilities are installed in a school to accelerate better learning. But that is not what makes the school, it is the teacher, the student, the parents who involve themselves with the child and definitely the mode of teaching that makes the difference. And that is what we stress, We are not short of facilities but that is not our priority, we believe more in our faculties and our approach to a child and his area of interest.” explained the school Coordinator, Mrs Nirupama.

The entire carnival was coordinated by the teachers and students. It gave an insight into the relation the teacher and student share to bring about the best of what they have in them.
