" We offer a wide range of designs and are currently focusing on the people who are between the ages of  21 and 45. Our jewellery is everyday jewellery and we have not got into wedding jewellery. The catalog has over 5000 designs and it is continuing to grow. Our design workshop is making designs at a frenetic pace. The production is outsourced and every single piece is certified after a thorough investigation. BlingElement has a payment gateway and the orders have to be backed by a full advance. We deliver the jewels at the address given by the client, " stated Anand Kanna while showing  some of  his products  across the table.

The company is found in a number of places in the social media including pinterest, facebook, instagram, twitter, linkedin etc., BlingElement functions out of R.S.Puram in Coimbatore. The average price of an ornament is about Rs.34000. However one can find trendy pieces from Rs.5000 onwards. Some of the items are priced in lakhs of Rupees.

The bright businessman added further, " The jewellery business in India is $ 50 billion and online commerce is less than 2% of the total. Therefore , the scope for on line jewellery commerce is huge in India. The main players in this category are Caratlane and Bluestone. Caratlane was acquired by Tanishq recently and it is doing big volumes. Other tech tools will enable the customer to visualize and place orders. We hope to offer other services related to jewellery in the long run. Repairwork, exchange of jewellery, remaking of jewellery, group gifting, savings schemes and pawnbroking among other services will be offered by us shortly. The market is huge and there is abundant scope for us to grow. BlingElement is just in India as of now and will hopefully deliver its products globally in the future. The company hopes to become a global player in say 7 years."

BlingElement is ready to design based on the suggestions of the customer. An oral description or an incomplete sketch would be sufficient to make a beginning. The designers are creative enough to work on the same and produce an acceptable design. Anand has two siblings. The elder one Premanand is a jeweler while the younger brother Dinesh Acharya runs an on line sports magazine.

BlingElement hopes to have a mobile app in the near future. BlingElement has a full fledged studio and the core of the designs are meant for diamond and gem studded jewellery.

Customization is another strong point for this start up. The company provides designs which matter today.

" We have a  business plan in place and our sales runs to a couple of lakhs of Rupees per month. Our company hopes to access financial resources in the near future and this will help to propel ourselves further. Our advisors are B.Krishnamurthy and S.Rameshkumar. Their inputs are quite valuable to us for our start up has a big vision. My parents Venkatesan and Swarnalatha live at Kumbakonam while I work from Coimbatore. We are confident that we will attain a respectable position in a few years. Brand Equity is being built through quality and service. Coimbatore has a marvelous environment. You can manufacture many kinds of ornaments in the city. It has got the best environment for indulging in the business of jewellery in South India. Coimbatore has also got the unique advantage of being a START UP city these days. The combined eco system is sure to help us grow while  this will help us to serve  our clients better, " smiled Anand Kanna while giving a sneak preview of the work of a few of his designers.

Anand Kanna is ably supported by his technocrat wife Divya Anand. The honest and eminent diamondsmith  Arunachala Achari of Coimbatore happens to be the paternal grandfather of Divya.

Coimbatore is found on the jewellery map of the world for a long time now. The facilities, infrastructure and Coimbatorean entrepreneurship are sure to bring a flurry of activities in the jewellery start up arena.
